How to block call and messages with iOS 13

I simply hate recieving calls and messages from unkown numbers. iOS 13 has a practical feature for filtering unknown calls and messages out of my way. See how to block calls and messages from unknown numbers with iOS 13.

How to block calls and messages from unknown numbers with iOS 13

The function is called “Silence unknown callers” – the phone will simply not ring when you recieve a call or give a sound when you recieve a message from an unknown number.

So how do you activate Silence unknown callers? Press Settings > Phone > Silence unkown callers and toggle the switch.

For Messages: Settings > Messages > Filter unknown Senders.

Will be directed to Voicemail

Any phone call from a number you dont have in your phonebook will be directed to Voicemail where the caller can leave a message. If a voice mail is recorded you will get a notification for this and you will also be able to see the call in Recent calls.

Messages from unkown numbers can be sorted into a seperate list.

I have demonstrated the function on iPhone XS Max  but it works on all iOS 13 units.
