How to activate Night Shift on iPhone

With the function Night Shift in iOS you can set the screen to be more comfortable to your eyes and your brain will stop thinking it is in the middle of the day when you use your phone in the evening. See how to activate night shift on iPhone and iPad.

We look at our phone all day long – the least we could do is to take care of our eyes – and brain.

With the function Night Shift on iPhone a yellowish filter on the screen with a more warm tone than normal will reduce eye fatique. It will also prevent your brain from thinking it is in the middle of the day when you use your phone in the evening. This will make you sleep better as well.

How to activate Night Shift on iPhone and iPad (iOS)

  1. Press Settings and then press Display and brightness
  2. Here you find Night shift  – press off.
  3. You can manually enable the function or you can set a schedule so the phone itself activate it a 7 in the evening for example and the end it automatically at 6 in the morning. You cab also choose to activate Night Shift from sunset to sunrise
  4. You can also set the colour temperature to more warm or cooler if you prefer.

Night Shift was demonstrate how night shift works on iPhone 10s max but the procedure is the same on all iPhones with the function. it is available on iPhone 5s and later and iPads from around 2013 and later.
